2When we bought the farm we began hearing members of the local community referring to the laneway running up to our property as “Pulpit Rock Lane”.  One of properties nearby is a vineyard which – according to its owners – sits on the same property as the Pulpit Rock.  When we were at a fire brigade Christmas party the owners of Pulpit Rock vineyard invited me to go riding on the property up to see “the rock”.  That was about 18 months ago and while I’d often thought about it, I’d never actually made it up there.  Partly because I didn’t know where to find it!

So it came as a bit of a surprise when I was out riding on Jim yesterday to practically bump into the Pulpit Rock.  This is what it looked like – spectacular, isn’t it?  It’s quite obvious when you bump into it that it couldn’t be anything other than the Pulpit.

So now I know where to find it, I’ll be sure to put that on the list of feature trail rides and picnic spots for when we have friends to visit.
