666We’re doing a lot better this season with the alpaca crias (babies).  While the boys and girls are just as cute, there’s not much of a market for the males.  Some people buy the males as herd protectors for their sheep but other than that, it’s the girls that everyone wants.

So it was great news when North Star produced this little female cria.  She was born in the afternoon and was spotted by our friend Alistair who was visiting, when he went to call Ric in for lunch. This footage was taken when she was about 15 minutes old – almost old enough to get up on her feet, but not quite!
